OZ Lifting to Showcase Its Stainless Steel Davit Crane at WEFTEC

OZ Lifting will exhibit its stainless-steel davit crane, designed for harsh environments, during the last three days of the event at Booth 5806.

OZ Lifting Products is planning to showcase its first stainless steel davit crane at the Water Environment Federation’s Technical Exhibition & Conference (WEFTEC).

The WEFTEC event will be held 27 September to 1 October 2025, at McCormick Place, Chicago.

OZ Lifting will exhibit its products during the last three days of the event, at Booth 5806.

Central to its display will be a prototype stainless steel davit crane, designed for environments requiring high corrosion resistance.

The crane, available in 500lb and 1,000lb capacities, is tailored to meet specific material and lifting requirements in the water sector.

It leverages type 304 and 316 stainless steel, with the latter being crucial for coastal and marine applications.

OZ Lifting sales manager Richard Miller said: “The latest addition to our product range has its perfect launchpad at WEFTEC, where water quality professionals gather to find material handling and other solutions for the specific demands of their work.

“The stainless steel davit crane will interest many markets, but it will be particularly relevant to the wastewater industry.

“This feature allows plant personnel to fine-tune the boom length mid-lift without stopping and re-rigging, improving efficiency and reducing downtime. It’s especially useful for tasks like pulling pumps, mixers, or screens from wet wells or clarifiers, where conditions can change quickly and precise positioning is critical.”

OZ Lifting plans to begin production of the stainless-steel crane before the first quarter of 2026, ensuring distribution network availability.

The crane will be adaptable with a pedestal, socket, wall mount, and wheelbases, offering flexibility across various installations.

In addition to the davit crane, OZ Lifting will feature its complete stainless series, including beam trolleys, clamps, chain hoists, and winches, at the event.

The products are engineered for corrosion resistance and long service life.

They are suitable for confined spaces and demanding lift points, providing a comprehensive solution for operators.

Miller added: “All of our davit cranes are designed for quick, tool-free assembly and can be used across multiple interchangeable bases installed throughout a facility, making it easy to service pumps, mixers, and equipment in different locations.

“The advanced composite material and carbon fiber are not only incredibly strong but also corrosion-resistant, ensuring long service life even in harsh, high-moisture, or chemical-rich environments typical of wastewater plants.”
